Bored at home? Cabin fever setting in? Itching to do something creative and fun? Well do we have just the thing for you.

Galway Film Centre in partnership with Galway City of Film and the Galway Film Fleadh are delighted to announce that the One Minute Film Festival is back!

We are inviting Filmmakers / Film Enthusiasts to make a one-minute film, based on any subject or any story. A panel of judges will select the best 30 One Minute Films and they will be screened at a special public event in the coming months.

This year, there is a combined cash prize of €250 for the best 3 Films which will be announced at the screening where your work will be screened to a packed audience!

Entry to this competition is free and all genres are welcome including documentary, live action, art-house and animation.

Last year’s One Minute Film Festival included films from around the world, with 2 sold out screenings. The winner was the fantastic My Father Taught me to Swing an Axe by Rory Fitzpatrick, second place went to Liam Fahy for his film Mourning Murder and third place prize went to Cliona Noonan and Naoise Dempsey for Destiny.
