Máire Ní Chonláin – TG4 Ireland
Having a special interest in Irish culture, history, language and music, Máire has played a vital role in TG4’s celebration of Ireland’s rich heritage, both past and present.
As well as overseeing the production of TG4’s hugely successful Murdair Mhám Trasna (Mám Trasna Murders) docudrama, which led to the granting of a posthumous Presidential pardon for a man wrongly committed of murder, Máire collaborates with the independent sector on the feature lengthCine4 format,documentaries, historical and drama series, including 2014’s An Bronntanas, nominated for an Oscar (Best Foreign Language Feature).
Prior to joining the station in 2000, she produced and directed many award-winning projects including the IFTA award-winning documentary Mad Dog Coll.
Máire will be chairing our panel “Let Me Entertain You – a discussion on the latest trends in TV entertainment with the broadcasters” which will be taking place at 10.00am on November 8th in The G Hotel as part of FÍS TV Summit 2018.
