Galway Film Centre is delighted to announce Brian lally as the selected filmmaker to attend the Screen Talent Europe ‘Nordic Light Workshop’.
Brian Lally is originally from Tuar Mhic Eadaigh, Co Mayo but now based in Galway City. He attended the Film and Television course in Galway Community College and went on to do a BSc Degree in Television and Media production in Carlow IT. He has worked as a Lighting Operator for the past five years on Ros Na Rún, TG4’s flagship Irish language soap opera co-produced by Tyrone Productions and Eo Teilifís. Over the past number of years he has worked on numerous short films in Galway and he recenty has worked on the upcoming stop-motion animation feature “Morton and the Spider Queen” produced by Telegael.
The ‘Nordic Light Workshop’ is developed and coordinated by the Kultur i Väst/Film Cloud and Film i Vast in Sweden and will take place in Gothenburg and West Sweden from the 12th to 15th June.
Kultur i Väst/Film Cloud, Film i Väst and Galway Film Centre are all proud members of the Screen Talent Europe; a network of film workshops and media centers in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Faroe Islands, Germany, Ireland, Northern Ireland and France. The purpose of the network is to promote and foster co-operation between partners and to help filmmakers exchange knowledge, experiences and methods through talent camps, network meetings and co-productions.
