Looks Like Rain screening on RTÉ 2 as part of SHORTSCREEN

Ben Conway’s Looks Like Rain will screen tonight Monday 16th January at 12.40am. Looks Like Rain is set to the backdrop of the 1960’s, and tells the story of a boy’s banishment to the back yard as his mother races against the elements to get food on the table. The film stars Aoibhinn McGinnity (Love/Hate, Poison Pen) and Garrett Lombard (Stella Days, Pure Mule). Looks Like Rain was directed by Kevin O’Farrell and produced by Dave Leahy and Liam Ryan for Warrior Films. Ben Conway won the ‘Best Short Film Script Award’ for Looks Like Rain at the Zebbie Awards by the Writers Guild of Ireland in 2016.

Looks Like Rain was awarded funding through the Galway Film Centre/ RTÉ Short Film Award Scheme in 2014. The deadline for the 2016 scheme is Tuesday 31st January and full details on the application process can be found on this link.
