Galway City of Film screenings as part of Baboró Festival


Galway City of Film is delighted to be working with ‘Baboró International Arts Festival For Children’ 2016!

The festival, that is celebrating it’s 20th Anniversary this year, will take place from Monday 17th October to Sunday 23rd October across Galway City.

Executive Artistic Director, Aislinn Ó hEocha says “I’m delighted to welcome you to this years festival as we celebrate twenty years of wonder, inspiration, and creativity for children and families. Prepare to pack your bags and be transported into a world of fantastical journeys and voyages of discovery. They may be exciting, sad, hopeful, joyous…they may even be scary. Our lives are filled with journeys that shape the people we become. This year I invite you to pack you life’s suitcase full of wonderful Baboró memories as you navigate the festival”.

Declan Gibbons, Director of Galway City of Film noted “Galway UNESCO City of Film are thrilled to be hosting film screenings as part of the fantastic Baboró festival this year. We are delighted to be presenting these two beautiful animated films to Galway’s young audiences and families alike.

The launch of the Baboró 2016 programme, which includes full details of the Galway City of Film screenings, will take place on Monday 5th September at 6pm in Il Vicolo in The Bridge Mills.
