Course Profile:
This one-day course will give you all the essential research skills that you can apply to TV production or content production across other digital platforms.

Area’s covered will include:

  • – How to spot and tell a good story
  • – Finding and casting contributors
  • – Widening sources of information
  • – Hot internet research tips
  • – Fact checking, writing proposals and research briefs
  • – Editorial and legal compliance.

Participant Profile:

Aspiring or existing TV researchers who want to acquire first-rate production research skills or extend their current skills base. Production co-ordinators, runners who want to step up, independent film-makers wanting to learn professional research techniques.

About the tutor: Pam is an experienced media trainer who specializes in creativity and TV researcher courses. She works with Screen Training Ireland, ITV, the Indie Training Fund and leading independent TV companies such as Endemol and Tiger Aspect. Pam is a member of the  CIPD  and qualified in training and development. Her passion for training stems from a real commitment to helping people gain opportunity and inspiration. With a background as a broadcast journalist in both television and radio, working mostly for the BBC, she has researched a wide range of output including documentaries, features and consumer programmes.
