Eo Teilifis is offering an unpaid internship in documentary production, to gain valuable experience and learn to apply those skills in a busy working environment focused on the television sector. This internship is available to candidates who are unemployed or registered with the Jobbridge scheme.
The intern will be training in a fast paced environment to tight deadlines and will gain the skills required to work in documentary production. This is a unique opportunity to gain documentary production experience, to further your skills and gain practical experience with a professional team in a dynamic television community. Expert coaching will also be offered.
The intern will receive training in the following areas: Documentary development
- documentary research
- documentary production techniques
- editing
- sound recording
- camera operation.
On completion the intern will have attained skills in many aspects of documentary development and production.
The following is desirable but not essential:
- A third level qualification in media, broadcasting, film or television.
- A knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint and Final Cut Pro.
- Fluency in the Irish language.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and creative. The candidate should have a strong interest in documentary production, be a confident communicator, with the ability to work as a team and on their own initiative. The internship will run from September 2014 to April 2015.
