GFC/RTÉ Shorts 2014 on way to Belfast

If you’re heading to Belfast this weekend, try to go along to the 14th Belfast Film Festival. Both recipients of 2013’s GFC/RTÉ Short Film Award will be screening there.

Roisín Murphy, Our Unfenced Country

OUR UNFENCED COUNTRY will screen on as part of Shorts Programme 2 on Saturday April 5th at 1.30pm. Written and Directed by Niamh Heery and produced by Eric Dolan of SwanSong Films, the film stars Róisín Murphy (WHAT RICHARD DID) and Pascal Scott (GRABBERS, KILLINASKULLY). The film had its world premiere in March of this year at the Chicago Irish Film Festival.

Marie Ruane, The Weather Report

THE WEATHER REPORT will have its world premiere as part of Shorts Programme 3 on Saturday April 5th at 4pm. The film was written and directed by Paul Murphy and produced by Deirdre de Grae of Two for Joy films and stars Edward MacLiam (RUN AND JUMP, HOLBY CITY) and Marie Ruane (RAW, FOXES). The film will be screening at Limerick Film Festival the following weekend also.
