The Weather Report to screen at Belfast in April

THE WEATHER REPORT, a winner of the 2013 GFC/RTÉ Short Film Award has been selected for the 14th Belfast Film Festival. The film will screen as part of the shorts program on Saturday April 5th at 4pm.

The film was written and directed by Paul Murphy and produced by Deirdre de Grae.

THE WEATHER REPORT stars Edward MacLiam (RUN AND JUMP, HOLBY CITY) and Marie Ruane (RAW, FOXES) as Ted and Maureen Sweeney and centres around a mysterious phone call which questions a routine weather report by Lighthouse Keeper Ted Sweeney. This leads his wife Maureen to question more than just the weather report.

The film was shot entirely on location in the beautiful Blacksod Lighthouse in Belmullet, Co. Mayo in 2013. Ivan Marcos was the DOP and John Murphy was editor.
