Galway Film Centre Summer Camp Success

Three young animators, who completed summer camps with the Galway Film Centre in 2012, have had their work recognized by industry professionals.

‘Framed’ made by Cian and Aoibhinn Mac Coille scooped the Brown Bag Animation Award at the Fresh Film Festival in Limerick, in both the junior and senior categories. Here’s what the judges had to say:

‘Framed‘ “has a great story that worked very well. Using two different styles of animation was impressive, especially since they were both done really well. Great timing, detail and pace to the piece”.  Brown Bag Animation.

Special mention was awarded to Matas Skudra for his ‘Da Vinki’. Again the positive feedback from the judges was as follows:

a lovely animation that looks amazing, like an excerpt from a professional music video. We wanted more! Look forward to seeing more of this style”, Brown Bag Animation.

Congratulations to Cian, Aoibhinn and Matas from all at the Galway Film Centre.
