Christian O’Reilly’s play ‘Sanctuary’ continues its run at Blue Teapot theatre this week, beginning Tuesday at 11 am. Christian took part in our Talking TV Drama Seminar last weekend. Christian is a graduate of the 2011 BBC Writers’ Academy, where he was trained to write for DOCTORS, CASUALTY, EASTENDERS and HOLBY CITY. His plays have been produced in Ireland and internationally by companies such as Druid and Rough Magic. He was a recipient of the Stewart Parker Trust New Playwright Bursary for his debut play THE GOOD FATHER (2002). He is currently Playwright in Residence at the Town Hall Theatre, Galway. Also, the Town Hall Playwrights’ Group reading series continues this Wednesday, October 10th, at 8.30 pm, with the reading of ‘The Birthday Cake’, a new play by Niamh Gleeson, author of ‘Dear Frankie’. The reading will be facilitated by Pat Collins.
