Galway Film Centre will host a one day seminar with Mark Byrne (Head of Legal Affairs, Irish Film Board) in Galway in January 2012. It will cover topics such as:

Mark Byrne – Head of Legal Affairs, Irish Film Board
The Head of Legal Affairs is responsible for a substantial amount of the agency’s contracting requirements across all expenditure initiatives. This role involves negotiation with producers and co-financiers, and liaison with lawyers as well as government departmental officials. 

Mark is a qualified solicitor with a Degree in Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Administration who has over 10 years experience in the film industry. Mark is also currently on the board of directors for the Irish Film Institute.
