Let’s Discuss the New Section 481 Skills Development Plan with Fran Keaveney
ScreenWest’s May Monthly Meet-Up is being held on Thursday the 30th May 2019 at 6.30pm in the GFC Offices where we will be joined by Fran Keaveney of Screen Skills Ireland to discuss the new Section 481 Skills Development Plan.
In April 2019 the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht issued the new guidelines for Section 481 the Irish tax incentive for film, TV, and animation. Under these updated guidelines producers must submit a Skills Development Plan for approval by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and Screen Skills Ireland. The Plan should set out the skills development activities planned for the production. The plan also includes details of gender equality initiatives, diversity and inclusion initiatives and a sustainability plan. On May 30th we will be discussing this new requirement with Fran Keaveney who is a Skills Development Executive for Screen Skills Ireland.
The Monthly Meet-Ups are open to all practitioners in the Irish audiovisual industry from crew to service providers and facilitators, funders and broadcasters. It is an open forum to discuss the industry today, share knowledge and experience as well as provide networking opportunities in an informal environment.
