Galway Film Centre is partnering with Baboró International Arts Festival For Children to offer an ANIMATION workshop for children and young people as part of this year’s festival.
The workshop will take place on Sunday 22nd of October from 10am to 3.30pm in Galway Film Centre and is suitable for both girls and boys aged between 10yrs and 15yrs of age.
Participants will design, plan and animate their very own story from start to finish, using animation to bring their characters to life on screen. This is a hands-on workshop facilitated by filmmakers Clare Carroll and Sarah Walsh.
All materials are provided and please bring a packed lunch.

Clare Carroll is a stop-motion Animator, based in Galway with experience in facilitating various children and young adults stop motion animation courses. She graduated from the Animation course in Dun Laoghaire in 2014, and her final year, stop motion film, A Girl’s Best Friend, has been quite successful, screening at film festivals all over the world https://vimeo.com/95406700
Sarah Walsh is a concept artist, short film director and a BA Honours degree graduate of animation at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin. She is trained in various programs and animation styles and has worked on animations that have screened at Galway Film Fleadh, the New York Bad Film Festival, Annecy International Film Festival, Disney XD, BBC and RTÉ.
