Aim of Course:
This two day course suits new users of InDesign. It aims to consolidate prior understanding and extend users to an intermediate level where they are comfortable creating print and digital layouts of books, brochures and leaflets. Attendees will learn how to design pages, allocating white space for both text and images. This leads to the construction of master pages for templates. The arts of typography and typesetting will be explored along with the methods of integrating and flowing text from page to page and wrapping text around image objects.
The second day of training tends to intermediate features of InDesign CC and incorporates a study of applying colour, creating and styling tables and preparing documents for both print and digital export. Indesign is able to import Microsoft Word, Photoshop and Illustrator files directly into documents allowing for rapid incorporation and re-use of pre-prepared digital assets. All demonstration media will be available for re-use and practise after the training.
