TechSpace G seeking skilled volunteers who have an interest in film and who also speak Irish

TechSpace G: a project in partnership with TG4, Camara Ireland, Foróige and the Department of Arts Heritage and the Gaeltacht. TechSpace is a national program helping youth groups and schools in the Gaeltacht to implement technological learning within their schools. Up to now the training that has been delivered to schools in the Gaeltacht has been in the area of digital media.

TechSpace G: tionscadal comhpairtaíochta idir TG4, Camara Ireland, Foróige agus Roinn Ealaíon, Oidhreachta, Gnóthaí Réigiúnacha, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta.  Is gluaiseacht naisiúnta é TechSpace G agus cabhraíonn TechSpace G le heagraíochtaí óíge agus scoileanna sa Ghaeltacht clár teicneolaíochta a heagrú. Go dtí seo tá an traenáil faighte ag múinteoirí sa Ghaeltacht  dirithe ar na meáin digiteach.

TechSpace G are hosting a celebration event on 11 May in Coláiste na Coiribe, Knocnacarra (10am – 4pm) to showcase the work of the young people. Representatives of the department, TG4, Foróige and Camara Ireland will also be there on the day. We are expecting 150 young peoples and we are looking for skilled volunteers or those who have an interest in film and who also speak Irish. If you are interested in taking part in our celebration event or would like to be involved with TechSpace I would love to hear from you. The volunteer will gain good experience working with young people and organising film workshops. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Beidh ocáid ceiliúrtha ag TechSpace G ar an 11 Bealtaine, i gColáiste na Coiribe, Cnoc na Cathrach (10r.n. – 4 i.n)  chun an obair ar fad a chur i láthair. Beidh ionadaí na roinne, TG4, Foróige agus Camara Ireland i láthair ar an lá.  Beidh 150 daltái meanscoile i láthair ar an lá agus tá oibritheoirí deonacha ag teastáil uainn, daoine cáilithe nó suim acu i nábhar scannáin agus a bhfuil Gaeilge acu. Geobhaidh an oibrí deonach taití maith obair le daoine óga agus ceardlanna i Movies a chur ar súil. Cuirfear lón agus soláistí ar fáil ar lá.

 

Ról/Roles:

  • Bainisteoir: Oibrithe Deonacha/ Volunteer Manager – Beidh an duine seo ag obair linn roimh an ócáid, ag cuir leis an plean oibre, teangmháil a dhéanamh lena oibrithe deonacha agus aon fhadhbanna a phlé leis an comhordaitheoir TechSpace. This person will work with us before the event, contributing to the work plan, contacting the volunteers and discussing any problems with the TechSpace coordinator.
  • Tacaíocht  Teicniúil/Technical Support – Ullmhaigh iPads – beidh 23 iPads againn, caithfear iad a seiceáil agus Adobe Spark a íoslodáil ar agus Google Account a shocrú suas. Prepare the iPads, we have 23 iPads they will need to be checked and Adobe Spark will have to be installed on each one and set up Google accounts. Leag amach na stáitse, Chur sua an scáileán, PA agus amp a shocrú. Set up the stage and put up the screens. Set up PA and amps
  • Eascáitheoir/Facilitaor – Obair le grúpaí 5 – 6 daoine óga agus  cúnamh a thabhairt dóibh maidir le; Working with groups of 5 – 6 young people and helping them with; software tutorial, ideation session, storyboard, rough cut review – critical thinking, Editing project , uploading, using Adobe Spark s showing off storyboard, video, reflective response as a team and project
  • Foireann Físghrafadóireachta/ Documentary Team – Taifead a dhéanamh ar imeachtaí an lae. Bhí sé á úsáid againn leis an tionscnamh a fhogrú agus a chur chuig na scoileanna go léir. Document the activities of day, this will be used to promote TechSpace and will be sent to all the schools involved.
