Galway Young Filmmakers selected to screen their animations in Fresh Film Festival, Limerick

Galway Film Centre would like to congratulate two of Galways young filmmakers, Charlotte Connolly & Matas Skudra, for being selected for the Fresh Film Festival in Limerick.

Charlottes animation ‘THE WOLF AND THE RAVEN’ and Matas’ animation ‘DAVINCKIS EVENING‘ were selected during the Galway heat of the festival competition and they will both now be screened as part of the Fresh Film Festival finals on March 10th in the Odeon Cinema in Limerick City.

The full list of finalists from the Galway heat are:

  • Semi Detached” Oisin Donnelly White, Clare
  • Stranger Danger”, Johnathan Connolly, Galway
  • The House that Couldn’t Breathe”, Mairead Dewar, Emily Busby Galway
  • The Wolf and the Raven” Charlotte Connolly, Galway Film Centre, Galway
  • DaVincki’s Evening”, Matas Skudra, Galway Film Centre, Galway
  • Apocalypse H”, Nico Amaya, Coláiste Einde, Galway
  • Super Smash Fly”, Robert Gaynor, Sligo
  • Boy”, Alyssa Heffernan, Trading Faces, Galway

Both Charlotte and Matas made their animations during the Galway Film Centre’s ‘Animation Summer Camp’ facilitated by Denise McDonagh & Shane Reid.

We wish Charlotte and Matas the very best of luck in Limerick!
